The Alcatel MDR-4000s is a reliable solution to a synchronous microwave radio requirement. The primary traffic interface for the MDR-4000s is the standard STS-1, 51.84 Mb/s synchronous signal. Capacities of 1, 2 and 3 STS-1s are available. However, the SONET tributary card is capable of providing a traditional DS3, 44.736 Mb/s interface, mapped into the STS-1, by a simple provisioning change.
